Do I need drawings to get a quotation on my extension?
For Greenwood Builders to be able to quote for your extension we will require full working drawings and specification.
What is your turnaround time of an extension?
We cannot answer this as all extensions differ, a timescale can be given when a quotation has been provided at request.
What are your payment terms?
Our payment terms are 30 Days from the date of invoice.
Depending on the size of the project we will introduce stage payments throughout the project as progress is made.
We will never ask for payment upfront.
Can I use my own electrician or plumber on my project?
As much as you are welcome to use your own electrician or plumber we recommend you use our trusted contractors who we work with on a regular basis as we will take care of managing all contractors throughout the project. We are unable to manage other contractors appointed by the client, this would be left to the client to organise the contractor’s work schedule.
Can anyone apply for planning permission or does the builder do this?
Yes anyone can apply, as long as you have the right documentation including a full set of plans. Greenwood Builders can help you find the right architect suited to your project.
How far do you travel?
Generally, we work within a 25-mile radius of Banbury but depending on the size of the project we may travel further.
Why are you not on any trusted traders websites?
We are a long-standing member of the FMB (Federation of Master Builders) and feel that we do not need to pay to be a member of any other organisations, our reputation for outstanding craftsmanship is what gets us the business until this day, we have never advertised for work.

Can I work alongside Greenwood Builders to save some money on labour?
Unfortunately, due to insurance reasons you cannot work alongside Greenwood Builders, it is however down to your own discretion if you want to do work when we are not on-site at your own risk, but we do not recommend it due to health and safety reasons.
Can Greenwood Builders supply me with CAD drawings?
Greenwood Builders do not produce or supply CAD drawings, you will need an architect for this that we can help you with.
