Greenwood Builders UK Ltd were pleased to have been asked to carry out building works to allow the installation of a garden Jacuzzi.
This jacuzzi was to be positioned in the rear garden and access was very limited. A small excavator was driven through the garden gate opening with all excavated waste ( 13 x 8yd skips) had to be removed by hand and by wheelbarrow.
A series of electrical cable ducts were placed around the proposed base, concrete was then pumped round to cast a reinforced circular base to support the jacuzzi and the retaining block walls.
Concrete blockwork walls were built to form the circular area and the access steps. To the rear of the jacuzzi a water holding tank was installed to store the used water from the jacuzzi for 3 months. (this allowed all the cleaning chemicals used to dissipate before it was then released into the house cesspit).
A 2nd reinforced concrete base was cast to cover the holding tank and to allow the construction of the stone raised flower beds.
The steps were then faced in stone and the treads of the steps were finished in brick slips.
The service void around the jacuzzi has been covered using hardwood (Iroko) tapered slats which are removable and have been supported on a stainless-steel subframe, to finish the rear patio area slabs were laid to complement the stonework.

- Steel framework installed with service access to Jacuzzi
- Electrical and plumbing connections to Jacuzzi
